Neptune has been in Pisces since 2012, so his first foray into Aries marks a significant change of tone. Being a slow moving planet, his average stay in a sign is 14/15 years. While the god of the sea has been at home with the sign of the fish, Aries has a very different feel. Gone are the desire for Oneness, the numinous or uncertain waters of feelings and beliefs. Aries demands certainty, clarity, independence and individuality… it’s prepared to go into battle to defend its boundaries too.
So how will Neptune express his watery, dissolving nature in the sign of Aries? Water can put out fire so Aries principles may at times seem to lose their passion. In addition, Neptune is notorious for bringing confusion and dissolving certainty. Matters of personal sovereignty and boundaries might become confused. For some this confusion could lead to aggressive attempts at reasserting boundaries. Any conflict during this time could have religious zeal leading to “Holy Wars.”
This brings us to Neptune’s other penchant, idealisation. The principles of the sign that he sits in, are idealised as the means to salvation. In Aries this could mean war. The last time Neptune in was in Aries saw the American Civil War. Although nothing is ever quite what it seems, and the reasons for war are a complex mix of issues, the emancipation of slaves is the official reason for the war. Freedom, sovereignty and emancipation are certainly principles that Aries will fight for. Even as attempts to dissolve borders and boundaries appear to intensify, the idealisation of the same will also gain in strength.
The solution lies within each and everyone of us. This does not need to be a choice. It is a matter of sanctity. Neptune’s Spiritual vibration demands that we see everything as part of the One, but within that, he demands respect for each part making up the whole. This is the Sanctity of all life. Respect for ourselves and others is the remedy that allows us to be in harmony. Good fences make good neighbours- they foster respect whilst allowing for good chats over the fence.
This is the challenge of the next fifteen years both at a personal and global level.
A significant shift! Thanks for your reading 🙏
